In celebration of 100 years of BSA, Troop 110 of Barberton just returned from a week of camp at Summersville Lake Retreat, in Summersville, West Virginia. Activities included white water rafting on the New River, a zip line canopy tour, tours of the Carnifax Ferry battleground, and the New River Gorge Bridge. Hiking, cooking, a service project and a boat ride on Summersville Lake were also included. Troop 110 is sponsored by First Lutheran Church of Barberton on Second Street Northwest and has been serving Barberton's youth since 1942. Dave Stavarz is the Scoutmaster and Bill Stahl is Troop Committee Chairman. We meet Monday night, 6:30 at PPG skeetfield in the summer and at First Lutheran Church, fall and winter. For more information call 330-714-8816.
