Charles W. Tennant went home to be with the Lord May 3. He was born April 18, 1946, in Alvy, West Virginia and was a resident of Barberton for the last 50 years. Charles was a member of Victory Chapel where he served as the Head Deacon for 24 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Freda Tennant. Survived by his wife, Martha A. (nee: Arnett); daughters, Lisa (Jim), Cathy, Brenda, Melissa (Derek); son, Charles Steven (Lorene); 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and many loving extended family and friends. Services will be May 6, 1 p.m., at Victory Chapel, 32 W. Bellisle Drive, Akron. Pastor Bobby Webb will be officiating. The family will receive friends May 5, 5-8 p.m. and May 6, from noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m., at Victory Chapel. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Victory Chapel in care of the family.
