I was born Feb. 19, 1932, to Italian immigrants, Michael and Amelia (Colansanti) Cerio. I passed at home with my family around me, Sept. 5. I leave behind my sister, Mary; my brother, Tim; my daughters, Pam (Tom) Jackson and Jamie (Tim) Porter; and son-in-law, Jim Beck, who was married to my deceased daughter, Vicky. I was blessed to see my grandchildren, Bryan (Carolynn) Jackson, Eric (Tracy) Jackson, Adam (Emily) Beck, Nick (Allison) Beck, Christine Porter, Jonathan (Lauren) Porter and Michael (Kelsey Bricker) Porter. The great-grandchildren, McKenna Jackson, Madison Porter, Dominic Jackson, Brayden Porter, Peyton Porter, Luke Jackson and Teagan Porter. This list includes many nieces and nephews I came to be fondly known as “GG” by many great-grandchildren, of which I’m proud to be called. I now must join my beloved husband, Jim; daughter, Vicky Lynn Beck; and my parents. Until we meet again, always remember God’s gift to us is family, I will always love my family and keep a watchful eye on them. A mass of Christian burial will be Sept. 10, noon, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Barberton, with Father Robert Jackson officiating. Procession at Lakewood Cemetery for interment will follow. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Summa Hospice for guiding us through GG’s end of life journey. Memorials may be made to Summa Hospice or Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
