Shots fired during Coventry Township burglary, drugs found

A Coventry Township man has been arrested for trafficking in marijuana.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., March 1, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary on Kingsley Avenue in Coventry Township. A man reported a male suspect forcing entry into his neighbor’s house. The neighbor confronted the suspect who fled on foot. The neighbor chased the suspect until he turned and fired two rounds from a handgun. The suspect continued to flee in an unknown vehicle.

The homeowner, identified as Charles Kalail, arrived at his residence as deputies were securing the area. The residence was checked for evidence of the burglary and deputies located multiple packages of marijuana in plain view. A search warrant was obtained and additional packages of marijuana, Xanax, drug paraphernalia, cash and three firearms were recovered.

Charles Kalail, 29, was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs-marijuana (F-5). He was booked into the Summit County Jail. Additional charges pending the outcome of the investigation.

This area is a cesspool of filth. No one has any respect for other people or their property. It’s very scary to live in this area and it’s important to carry a gun , throwing stars and mace —- at all times. You can be attacked by these filth mongers at anytime. Take a class on self defense today and get a gun or another weapon of choice as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT.

There is no Kingsley Avenue in Coventry township, but there is a Kingsley Drive – perhaps that’s what you meant? Also, upon searching Summit county property records, there is no one with the name Charles Kalail that owns property on Kingsley Ave OR Kingsley Drive. This is a hastily written and poorly researched story that adds little value. I’m not sure how anyone could provide additional details for the Sheriff when we can’t determine where the property is or who is involved.
