College Now of Greater Cleveland is hosting several events that will help you understand college funding and scholarship applications.
The scholarship strategy sessions will focus on applying for scholarships to rely less on loans. Sessions are Tuesday, March 20, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., University of Akron (UA) Wayne Campus, 1901 Smucker Road, Orville in room A225, Wednesday, March 21, 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at UA Main Campus, 225 S. Main St. in Akron, in the Polsky Building room 467 and Wednesday, March 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Barberton Public Library, 602 W. Park Ave. Pizza, water and snacks will be provided.

The transition to college workshops for parents, guardians and students will provide insight on financial aid, scholarships, apprenticeships and more.
Guardians and students of the classes 2018-2021 can attend to learn about award letters, FAFSA, alternatives to four year college, procedures for the Barberton Community Foundation scholarships, loans and loan counseling, enrollment and more at the Barberton Public Library.
There are three Thursday sessions offered, April 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m., April 19, noon-1 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Light meals will be provided.
