Marion prayed every day. After being diagnosed with a terminal illness a year ago, she finally decided that her work here was done. She asked God to do something. Marion O’Breza, 87, passed away Friday May 11. Marion was born in Kenmore. She was active in the Kenmore Class of 1949 Alumni and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Her family was her legacy. Marion loved to spend time with her daughters and all the children. She taught them what it means to be a family. She also was the force that kept family together near and far. She was preceded in death by William F. O’Breza, her loving husband of 62 years. She was also preceded by her parents Julia and Michael Divinecz. Her living legacy includes her daughters Diane (Jim) Pettitt of Canton and Patti (Joe) DeRosa of Canton. Five grandchildren Chrissie (Ryan) Smith, Julia (Josh) Hostetler, Kymmi Pettitt, Valerie (Dan) Stanley and J.B. (Caitlin) DeRosa. Six great grandchildren Sophia and Mya Smith, Lukas and Ellie Hostetler and Eva and Isaac Stanley. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice. Especially Sara Garbinsky and her colleagues for their exceptional personal care and consideration during Marion’s final time. Mass of a Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church,1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
