Summer concerts continue to entertain

Tom Petty lives on in spirit. King’s Highway, a tribute band to Tom Petty, did not disappoint fans of the great rock musician for the Summer Concert Series at the Lake Anna Gazebo.

Petty and The Heartbreakers recorded a number of hits such as “American Girl,” “Running Down A Dream,” “Free Fallin’” and “Don’t Come Around Here No More.” The music industry was shocked by his death in October. His spirit and music lives on.

Concerts at the Lake Anna Gazebo are Fridays, starting at 7 p.m. except for Mark Leach, Saturday, Sept. 1.

July 13 – Terry Lee Goffee (Johnny Cash tribute)

July 20 – LaFlavour (Variety)

July 27 – Joey Thomas Big Band (Frank Sinatra tribute)

Aug. 3  – Liverpool Lads (Beatles tribute)

Aug. 10 – Ruby Shooz (50s & 60s)

Aug. 17 – ZYGRT (Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, Rush, Toto tribute)

Aug. 24 – Chardon Polka Band

Saturday, Sept. 1, Mark Leach, 7:30 p.m. Fireworks to follow at 9:30 p.m.

All concerts are free and residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. For weather related cancellations call 330-848-6784 after 4 p.m.
