Two arrested after break in

Shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a breaking and entering at Lifetime Brake and Lube, located at 2185 Romig Road.

The caller reported that two suspects were breaking into the back of the building.  Responding officers observed a 2002 GMC Envoy traveling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot.

Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the occupants.  The driver, Tylan J. Braziel, 31, of Amherst Street in Akron, and the passenger, Jeffery L. Gardner, 47, of Niagara Avenue in Akron, were detained.

Braziel was found to be driving on a suspended license.  Officers located two Acetylene torches, a dolly, and a car tire inside of the vehicle.

Officers checked the business and noticed a rear garage door panel forced open.

Officers arrested Braziel and Gardner and charged them with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools.  They were booked into the Summit County Jail.
