Police looking for suspects

A man set down his credit card on the register counter in the hot food area of Giant Eagle at 41 Fifth St. SE, Nov. 5, and forgot to pick it back up. According to police, a short time later two people picked up the card and went on a $183 spending spree in Akron. The suspects are believed to be from the Barberton area. Tipsters are asked to call Detective Russell at 330-861-7254 with any information about the pair.

      In case you haven’t read it, the Constitution prohibits cruel and unusual punishment. Death as a punishment for petty theft is inhumane and the kind of thing you’d see in Hussein’s Iraq or Pol Pot’s Cambodia or even today in Saudi Arabia. But, please, by all means, continue to tell us how you’re a trigger-happy wannabe bad*ss.
