Sally Rager began her journey in life May 23, 1943 in Akron, and lived in Barberton most of her 75 years where she ran Sally’s Barber Shop for 30 years. She peacefully passed away in her sleep Nov. 11. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin “Louie” Rager and then her loving companion, Ronald A. Zonker. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Melvyn L. Rager; her sister, Eva M. Jenkins and her brother, Ralph Jenkins. She is survived by her brother, Walter (Nancy) Jenkins; sister-in-law, Alice Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Denise M. Rager; daughters, Justine (Pat) Rasicci, Christine (Alejandro) Garcia, son Daniel (Laura) Rager and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sally served as an Auxiliary officer for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends, Friday, Nov. 16 from 9 -10 a.m. at Cox McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton. A Memorial Service to celebrate Sally’s life will follow at 10 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron.
