Norton’s boys basketball team couldn’t hold a 10-point third quarter lead as they fell at Manchester 58-55.
The Panthers fell to 0-2 on the season, with both games being road non-conference matchups.
Phillip Wallace dominated for Norton, scoring 24 points with three 3-pointers, seven free throws, 11 rebounds and three blocks. Tyler Scott scored 14 points and had six rebounds, five rebounds and five steals. Nate Dobben had 6 points and seven rebounds and John Cline had 6 points and two steals.
Ryan Caulk (2 points), Jarred Pasterchek (2 points) and Andrew Inks (1 point) contributed off the bench.
Next, the Panthers open conference play with another road game, this time at Field Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
