Barberton’s boys basketball team wound up on the winning side of a back-and-forth Suburban League matchup against Tallmadge.
The Magics won 60-57 to improve to 3-7 (1-3 Suburban League American Conference) with the win.
Senior Jordan Soyars led the team with 21 points and five assists. He also had six rebounds and two steals. Max Littlejohn made five 3-pointers for 15 points. Jamair Blackmon also had 15 points with four 3-pointers and four rebounds.
Ethan Elliott had a steal and two late free throws and Sonny Fox had 1 point, seven rebounds and a game-sealing steal in the final seconds. Stefan Dragic added four points, two rebounds and one block off the bench and Moses Petrie had 2 points and two boards.
