Crawl takes over Tusc

The Downtown Merchant’s Association first Cookie Crawl event was a success.

The Feb. 9 event raised $228 for Barberton Area Community Ministries (BACM). BLT won the competition portion and raised $84. Each business had free cookies for participants to sample. After sampling, participants were encouraged to vote for their favorite recipe by placing a monetary donation in the box coinciding with the cookie inside Alexander Commons. Recipe cards were available to participants to take so they could duplicate their favorite cookies at home.

Joyce Coburn and Judge David Fish pass out cookies at Coburn’s Quilting Plus.

Meghan Siefer and Laurie Harvey vote for their favorite cookie recipes at BLT inside Alexander Commons.

Ruby Coleman Orellana, Olivia Coleman Orellana, Patricia Orellana,  Ana Orellana and Reyna Orellana sample a variety of cookies at Summit Artspace on Tusc.
