Maybe the community should join forces and do something about it.

At about 8:00 am the day of the “drug raid”, a van, two police cars, and two ambulances made their presence and intentions known. They had blocked off the street. There was a loud bang like a shot was fired. Really loud! Shortly after the bang, 3 people were escorted, in handcuffs out of the house and arrested.

The rest of this writing contains opinions that are my own.. I am a nearby neighbor.

Police told me they knew of my neighbors, indiscretions A YEAR AGO when i brought the drug dealing at this house to their attention. There were five to twenty-five drug deals a day happening here. The dealing continued for months. Sometimes the house had people walking up to a front window (druggie walk up window!) money in, drugs out. Even afternoons while the children walked by from school and played in the vacant lot nearby.

It really wasn’t the Lady that rented the home that was the problem or doing the dealing. To her, she had no choice. The people dealing the drugs were her 50 sumthin’ son and his co-horts. She’s only guilty of being a mom.

This bust was a long overdue. Every since a year ago when a young teenage boy rode up on a bicycle, bought drugs, from a person that came out of that house, paid with a sock of coins (that he probably stole from Grandma!), and rode off with drugs….it’s been overdue.

    Magic City!!
It’s OUR neighborhoods and we want ’em back!!

Mike Soyars has been shutting down drug houses for years on the East side.

This is the same outfit that was shut down just a block away! Same characters different location! Overcrowding in the jails and too much crime, they don’t face the needed consequences! A laundry list of charges and unpaid fines, and they are back on the streets in a day or two!

Funny how they do these “Raids” but never come up with anything

  7. Anonymous on March 9, 2019 at 4:56 am

Raid? Sounds like the qty found was pretty small. How about stopping the backpack drug mules walking all around town and the ones on motorized bicycles ?

    • Anonymous on March 9, 2019 at 5:10 am

We moved out of town because of the guys on bikes and black backpacks peddling past our house daily delivering drugs.
