UPDATE: Todd M. Cleavenger, 42, former owner of The Fast Lane bowling alley and The Garage Bar in the Magic City Plaza is in Summit County Jail charged with obstructing official business and possession of marijuana March 24.
He was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 77 North. He took off running from officers across the southbound lanes up an embankment over a chain link fence toward Stahl Road. He was found hiding near 600 Swartz Road in Akron, approximately one half-mile away from the accident.
A clear plastic bag containing marijuana was seen on the dashboard of his vehicle. He was taken to Summa Hospital in Green for an injury to his head. After treatment, he was taken to jail.
He pleaded not guilty in court March 25. A $5,000 bond was set by Barberton Municipal Court Judge David Fish. Cleavenger’s pretrial is set for Wednesday, April 17 at 9 a.m.
Cleavenger was charged for serving alcohol to minors last year and was also charged in an attack for felonious assault and abduction Jan. 4. His pretrial for the Jan. 4 incident is Thursday, April 11 at 8:45 a.m. and the court hearing Monday, April 29 at 9 a.m.
As of March 26, his $250,000 bond was revoked in relation to the Jan. 4 incident.
He was evicted from the Magic City Plaza March 13.
