Barberton baseball team blasts Copley

Barberton’s baseball team defeated their rivals from Copley 10-0 at Hal Naragon Field.

The Magics improve to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the Suburban League American Conference.

Justin Hill went 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Alex Stevenson had two singles, two runs and two RBIs. Nick Plucinski doubled, singled and drove in two.

Brandon Seiler (two singles), Billy Goble (two walks, run, RBI), Charlie Hornacek (double, two runs, RBI, stolen base), Gavin Krska (walk), Dylan Sutton (double, RBI) and Griffin Brown (single, run, RBI) rounded out the team’s lineup.

Goble started and pitched all five innings. He allowed just three hits and struck out three Indians.

Next, the team plays at Revere Wednesday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m. They will then play at Aurora Thursday, April 4 at 4:30 p.m. and at Wooster Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m.
