Norton’s baseball team remained perfect with a 3-1 win in extra innings at Woodridge.
The Panthers tied the game at one in the top of the third when John Cline led-off with a triple and Clay Borrelli drove him in with a single.
They took the lead in the top of the eighth when Steven Cruz, Par Rockhold and Ben Coughenour each singled to open the inning, and Jarred Pasterchek drove in Cruz with another single. Coughenour would score two batters later on an Andrew Kozak sacrifice bunt.
Clay Crawford started and pitched six innings, allowing four hits, three walks and one run while striking out eight. John Cline picked up the win by pitching two innings, allowing one hit and striking out two Bulldogs.
The Panthers will look to remain undefeated when they play at Mogadore Thursday, April 25 at 5 p.m.
