Norton approves purchase of Metro Parks land

Norton City Council voted to purchase the Summit Metro Parks conservation area and rezone it for industrial use. Notes not to exceed $800,000 will be issued to supplement available funds for the purchase.

In other council news…

Norton administrative officer said the Kungle Road bridge is Summit County’s responsibility and will remain closed for an indefinite period. Concrete barriers have been put in place to prevent pedestrian and vehicle traffic on the unsafe structure.
