Magics rank eighth in playoff race

Barberton’s football team sits in the final playoff spot after six weeks, according to the official OHSAA ratings.

The team is ranked eighth in Division II, Region 6, just behind Wadsworth and ahead of Amherst Steele.

The Magics could get a big jump in the points by beating 6-0 Aurora Friday, Oct. 11 at home at 7 p.m. Make sure to follow the Herald’s Facebook page during the game for live updates.

    Go Magics with Aurora. I don’t think Wadsworth has lost a game this year either.

      Wadsworth is actually 4-2. I’m sure their strength of schedule is what placed them ahead of Barberton. Barberton has big games the next two weeks. A win against Aurora this week will really help. Massillon in two weeks will be a really tough game.
