Barberton native runs for sheriff

Barberton alumnus and Norton resident Dale Soltis is running for Summit County Sheriff’s Office after years of service to the county. 

“I’ve been very blessed to be placed in different positions within the sheriff’s office, and I’ve been honored with responsibilities and leadership roles that make a difference and a change,” says Soltis of his experiences in law enforcement. Having spent two years as an adult probation officer for the Common Pleas Court, 19 years as a deputy and a total of 15 years of supervisory experience between Summit and Stark County, Soltis feels he has the skills necessary to fill the role of Summit County Sheriff.
