Council meeting canceled due to Internet glitch

The May 26 Norton City Council meeting was abruptly canceled as the Zoom session failed to link with YouTube for livestreaming.

City officials worked for about half an hour that night to make the connection but finally gave up. Without the livestreaming component, the public does not have access to the meeting. To continue would have violated the Open Meetings Act.

The meeting was rescheduled for Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. Assuming the problem is fixed, the public can watch the meeting through a link in the “News Flash” section on the home page of cityofnorton.org.
