Barberton City Council members are scheduled to meet June 22 at the Active Adult Center to review legislation regarding the creation of a new “Local Coronavirus Relief Fund” as well as a resolution affirming funds from the county Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act will only be used to cover costs of the city of Barberton consistent with the requirements of the CARES Act.

Members will also be discussing other current legislation, such as the disposal of 14 vehicles from the police department, authorizing payment for an invoice to Lexipol, and an ordinance which would authorize the mayor to enter into a memorandum of understanding between the city of Barberton, Healthcare Ministries Inc., and the city of Norton.
