City calls for special meeting

Mayor William Judge has called for a Special Legislative Meeting to discuss the need for an additional tax levy Monday, July 6, 2020 immediately following the Committee of the Whole Meeting.

The proposed resolution would levy an addition of 3 mills of tax to ensure sufficient funds for the current operating expenses of the city. It also requests the county auditor to certify the current tax valuation of the city and the amount of revenue the additional proposed 3 mills would generate.

Although city council meetings are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19, residents can still voice their opinions by contacting their ward representative. You can also contact Renee Fox, Clerk of Council, and provide your name, address, and comments you wish to be shared during the meeting. Any comments need to be submitted by 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
