Police in Akron are spending their Thanksgiving looking for a woman who held up a dollar store on Vernon Odom Boulevard.
A 24-year-old store clerk at a Dollar General in the 1000 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard reported being robbed just after 9 p.m. Nov. 25. Officers responded to the store after receiving the robbery call. When they got there, the clerk told them a woman held him and two other employees at gunpoint while demanding money from the cash register. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in a silver car. The vehicle was being driven by an unknown male.
The suspect was described as a black female, around 25-30-years old and approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She was wearing a blue jacket with a white strip on the sleeve, grey pants and grey shoes.
There is no additional information available at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
