Barbara Joan (Buck) Parks, 77, died July 23. She was a lifetime resident of Barberton and a member of the Barberton Church of Christ. She was also a long-time volunteer with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Barberton PTA and Barberton Citizens Hospital. Barbara was also a life-long fan of Barberton Magics sports and bands. Barbara was seen every season at Barberton football and basketball games, among others. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 31 years, William A. Parks and parents, Orval and Audree (Thomas) Buck. Survived by brother, Russell Buck; sister, Marilyn Buck; son, Michael (Shelia); daughters, Melissa (Martin) Pastva and Jennifer (Ronald) Monroe Jr.; granddaughters, Jessica (Brandon) McDonald, Taylor (Charles) Iams, Emily (Benjamin) Liddle, Katherine, Cassidy and Alexis; grandsons, Emanuel (Brenna), Ronald and William; great-grandsons, Cameron, Bradley, Ezra, Jackson and Henry; along with numerous other relatives and many friends. Barbara’s funeral service will be Thursday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield Hickman Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Keith Welch officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bill at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
