Floyd L. Moore

Floyd L. Moore, 88, of Barberton, passed away suddenly Nov. 25. He was born April 5, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Clemmer Moore and Genevieve McAleer Moore. Floyd was a supervisor at Rockwell and Babcock & Wilcox for many years. He was General Manager at Foltz Machinery until retirement. Floyd was very proud of being a 32nd Degree Mason. He also belonged to the Barberton Moose and Wadsworth Eagles, where many knew him as “Father Floyd”. He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. Floyd loved gardening, “tinkering” on things around the home, yard saleing, and spending time with friends and family. Floyd is preceded in death by parents, Clemmer Moore and Genevieve McAleer Moore; wife, Catherine Eckel Moore; son, Jack Moore; brother, David Moore and sisters, Martha Gombaski, Anna Smith, and Gail Quickle. Floyd is survived by brother, Clemmer Moore; son, Terry Moore; daughter-in-law, Judy Moore; four granddaughters, 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no service per Floyd’s wishes.
