James R Henry, 84, on March 16, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. A retired Akron Fireman of 26 years of service. He was born and raised in Barberton and remained a lifelong resident of Barberton-Norton area. He loved coaching peewee football and playing cards once a week. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Hazel, mother Lois, father John Henry, sister’s Dell Henry, Pat Baker, Janet Shannon, Mary Jane Somerick, He is Survived by his sister Loretto Rees, And his Children son James R Henry II, daughter Vicki Blazis (Jerry Trip a very close and special friend to my father in the last years of his life), son Brad and Tami Henry, Granddaughter Amanda Sickels, Grandsons Jason and Lindsey Blazis, and David Blazis, Great-Grandchildren Elizabeth and Adam Watters, Mae Mullins, Alexander Mullins, Madison Anthony, Hayley Blazis, Hannah Blazis, Hadley Blazis, Heaven Blazis, Jason Blazis, Great-Great-Grandchildren Winston and Lucy Watters, Scarlett Mullins. Jim’s Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Silva Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Road W., Barberton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
