Early Saturday morning, a male suspect wearing a ski mask, walked into the CVS, 500 block of E. Market St., Akron, approached the clerk and demanded money.

Akron Officers arrived around 4:30 a.m. and spoke with the clerk, who was shaken.  The cashier told police that the suspect showed him a handgun that he had in his waistband during the robbery and insisted on specific denominations of bills.  The suspect ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money.  Based on at least one witness, the suspect linked up with a second male subject in the parking lot and they both fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall, and around 140 – 160 pounds.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with “Just Do It” on the sleeves, black sweatpants, and brown boots.  Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip.
