Students shine at competition

Mrs. Latham took a group of seventh graders to STEM Career Day at Firestone High school. During class they submitted a “Rube Goldberg” machine as part of a competition.

The winners were announced at the end of the day and they placed third, winning $1,000 for class as well as earning enough points for each attending student to get a 3-D printer. They had a day full of hands-on activities and learning about local companies and careers in STEM fields.
