The six-day trip will depart Oct. 6 and return Oct. 11. The cost is $2,345 per person sharing a double room with a booking discount. The tour includes roundtrip airfare from Cleveland, five nights accommodations in one hotel, all sightseeing and admissions on the itinerary, eight meals, hotel transfers, professional tour director, motor coach transportation and baggage handling. Historically one of the top teams in Ohio, the Tigers are coming off a State Championship appearance. After a 14-0 start they lost to four-time defending State Champion Hoban 42-28 in Canton. The schools haven’t met since 1995, when Massillon won 22-20 at the Rubber Bowl in Akron. The Tigers have won nine straight matchups since Barberton last won 26-24 in 1981 at the Rubber Bowl. This will be the Tigers first trip to the Magic City since 1957.

There is no need to park your vehicle and get out. Over 1,200 pounds of pills have been removed from Barberton since this initiative began. Deterra bags will be available for pick up at no cost which can be used to destroy prescription meds in your own home and put in the trash. All year round there are secure drug drop-off containers in front of the Barberton Fire Station, a red box, 580 Wooster Road W. and in the basement of the Barberton Police Station, 576 W. Park Ave. When the event is concluded, an agent of the US DEA will pick up the collection to be destroyed in an environmentally safe method. - Take a Walk in the Hollow

Access from Hametown Road only, note Chidester Hill will be closed. Listen to some spine-chilling and hair-raising legends around a crackling and glowing bonfire. Walk the haunted trails. Visit the newly updated Chidester Mill and Museum. $10 per person includes the price of admission, hot dog, beverage and snack. Kids 5 and under are free. No refunds, no rain date.
