Norton opens Portage Trail Conference play with a road matchup at rival Coventry. The teams have split the past two matchups in blowout fashion.
Norton’s girls soccer team will make the short trip to Barberton to play the Magics. The teams tied 1-1 in Norton last season, with Barberton’s Megan Schanz and Norton’s Cami Emerling scoring the goals.
Norton hosts its first game in four weeks, and it comes against the best team of the Portage Trail Conference. The Bulldogs have won 27-of-28 games since joining the PTC in 2015, with their only loss last season against Ravenna. Their 6-4 record kept them from the playoffs for the first time since 2011. It will be a revenge opportunity for Norton, as Woodridge defeated them last year to crush their playoff hopes.
