Street Sweeping
The City of Barberton will begin the 2020 street sweeping program May 31. The program will end Dec. 4, (weather permitting). The street sweeping schedule is as follows:
East Side/Austin Estates; Sunday (alternating weeks)
North End… Monday
Near West… Tuesday
Far West… Wednesday
Downtown Area… Thursday
Reminder: Do not put trash, branches or grass clippings in the road. Basketball poles and rims are not to be placed within the street right-of-way without proper authorization, as such items may cause damage to the equipment and potential injury to the sweeper operator. Cars parked on the street between 11:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. on scheduled sweeping nights will receive a ticket pursuant to Ordinance 6-1993. Questions may be directed to the office of the Director of Public Service at 330-848-6719.
Volunteers needed for visits
Raven’s Family charity needs volunteers to visit Barberton nursing homes every Sunday at 2 p.m. Some residents don’t get many visitors. Make a difference. Contact ravensfamilycharity@gmail.com or 330-333-1991 to help.

Yard sale dates announced
Barberton’s city-wide yard sale is Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14. Yard sale permits are not needed during these dates. Any residence in the city can participate. Place a balloon at the end of the street to indicate where sales are.
